Abstract: Parental Control and Filtering System can be briefly described as the next step of the existing Parental Control Systems. The proposed solution is a parental control system that gives solutions to the drawbacks in the existing systems. Proposed system will be consisting of features such as web site restrictions, denial of access to web proxy servers, identification of images containing nudity and control over uploads of images of people. The system will block access to the restricted web sites through a dynamic database driven application which will be updated continuously while access through the proxy servers will also be denied. When an image of a person is uploaded to the internet this system will take necessary action to inform the person who is in the image. Further when an image containing nudity is downloaded from the internet the system will automatically detect it and the relevant web site IP is blacklisted. As such the proposed system will act as an advance parental control system. Further this will make an initiative towards achieving a national standard of control over the usage of internet
