Abstract: The system e-Veda Piyasa is being developed to assist traditional ayurvedic medicine to become popular among people over the world and help them get treatment easily. Ayurveda is a native method of traditional medicine and over centuries, ayurvedic practitioners have developed a number of medicinal preparations and surgical procedures for the treatment of various ailments and diseases. Ayurvedic medicine is not as popular as western medicine. But ayurvedic treatment is non-invasive and non-toxic, so it can be used safely as an alternative therapy. Many patients may not be able to get treatment from the ayurvedic doctors without much effort and difficulty. Sometimes patient may not have an idea about their disease category according to the disease symptoms and so will be unable to find ayurvedic physicians specialized in an area they want. Many people also do not know where to buy rare herbs from for the medicine and how to prepare plant-based and other medicinal preparations for a disease as well. There are also many fake ayurvedic doctors in Sri Lanka. Most of the real ayurvedic doctors are not familiar with modern technology. They have to issue prescriptions and all details about how to prepare medicine, which is time consuming. e-Veda Piyasa system helps overcome such issues by finding solutions to connect the patient and the ayurvedic physicians at their own places by providing many efficient facilities.
